Comments from some of the authors when they learned of their selection:

Oh, MY!!!  I was holding my breath all night!! I am so honored to be among the authors chosen. To know that other women will benefit from our collective stories is absolutely a dream come true....

It was very liberating to write this part of my life's journey. I thought and wrote about things I have never expressed to anyone. For this, I thank you.

I am delighted to have my essay included! Our book club is over the moon about it and wants to read the book together as soon as it is available!

Oh my goodness! I am so honored! I am sitting here waiting to go into labor with my first baby...and this is just the icing on the cake! I feel so blessed to be a part of this process and especially to share the story of (the death of) my best friend.  Between your email and my baby on the way --I feel her all around me today.

I'm just thrilled to be a part of this endeavor. Thank you again for selecting my story and including it with a collection of voices I know will be heard around the country and even the world.

Wa-hoo! That is great news! I'm humbled just to be considered!
