THREE women's groups selected to benefit from part of the book proceeds

In keeping with the spirit of this women’s anthology, Sugati Publications has committed a portion of the proceeds from "The Moment I Knew" to three non-profit women’s agencies that assist women and girls on global, national and local fronts. The organizations include:

1.  Women's Microfinance Initiative  (International)

2. The Nurse-Family Partnership Program (National-US)

3.  Women Writing for (a) Change (community-based)

Our nonprofit charity recipients were chosen by nominations from the public and then by a vote from our authors on the top three.  Each of the  nominated agencies are worthy of great praise and consideration for the important work that they do to make women's and girls' lives better. If it was possible to award each group, we would do so! All three of the recipients are acknowledged in our book along with their website.

We hope this will help to spread the word about their good work and to increase donations to these deserving agencies. Thank you again to all who nominated charities and participated in this process.

Women's Microfinance Initiative Assists women in Africa in small villages to provide working capital to women in the lowest income brackets in developing nations so the women can engage in income producing activities www.wmionline.org

The Nurse-Family Partnership Program Provides services and support to vulnerable first-time parents with maternal and child health nurses and home visits. www.nursefamilypartnership.org

Women Writing for (a) Change (Cincinnati OH/ Bloomington IN)  Offers educational programs, projects, and groups supporting women and girls’ writing. www.womenwriting.org
