Reflections from Women

Do you have an essay or poem to
submit for an upcoming edition in
the Reflections from Women series?

We want to hear from you!  We look forward to reading your non-fiction essay or poem for consideration in a future edition of the “Reflections from Women” series. Please note, due to the high volume of queries, please refer to the publication guidelines first to determine if  this is what you are looking for in terms of publication. Then, send the book editor an initial query about your topic and which theme applies to you. The book Editor will provide  an initial response to all e-mail queries within two weeks. Manuscripts will be accepted based on appropriate fit for this series as well as other selection considerations.

 More important information: 

1. Submission of a story/poem does not guarantee publication in the book.  Several factors will be considered when determining which works will be selected for publication by the editor and publisher (e.g. space available, topic, writing consistent with theme and tone of book...).
2. Works will not be returned to the author.
3. No contributors will receive financial compensation for their work whether or not it is selected for publication.  All contributors whose works are published in the book will receive two complimentary copies of the book signed by the editor and the opportunity to purchase additional books at the author discount rate.  There will be no other compensation except that the contributing authors are recognized in the book and in the book publicity for their published work.
4. Authors agree to terms in the consent agreement(e.g., permission to publish the work in the book, use in promotional materials, use of name in the book--if given permission, copyright...).
5. A copy of the consent agreement will be sent to all prospective authors upon their initial query. 
6. Authors affirm that submitted work was not previously published,.
7. The editor and publisher reserve the right to reject any submissions and to edit the stories for grammar, style and space.
